Marriage Registration services

    "Before you are joined in matrimony, it is my duty to remind you of the solemn and binding character of a marriage contracted under the Marriage Ordinance, which is in law the voluntary union for life of one man and one woman to the exclusion of all others. Know ye, therefore, [name of the male party], and [name of the female party], that, by the public taking of each other as man and wife in my presence and in the presence of the persons now here, and by the subsequent attestation thereof by signing your names to that effect, you become legally married to each other, although no other rite of a civil or religious nature shall take place."  S21(4)(a) Marriage Ordinance (Cap.181)

Ms Pauline Wong (Principal) was first appointed as civil celebrant of marriages in 2006. Since then, she has performed celebration services for more than 4,000 marriages, with couples from Hong Kong, Mainland China and overseas. Such marriages have been celebrated in a wide variety of ways, including in hotels, restaurants, indoor and outdoor venues, as well as by the immediate issuance of a marriage certificate. Details of Our Firm’s Services

►We handle all the procedures required for marriage registration within 3 months prior to your marriage, including arranging and completing all of the relevant documents required (e.g. the Notice of Intended Marriages);

►Acting on your behalf, we help you file the Notice of Intended Marriage to the Marriage Registry, and shall collect the Certificate of Registrar of Marriages which indicates that the marriage is allowed to proceed;

►Our civil celebrant undertakes to arrive at the designated wedding venue 15 minutes before the marriage ceremony is scheduled to begin, in order to aid in preparation and logistics of the ceremony, ensuring that all your expectations are not only met but exceeded;

►The marriage ceremony shall be completed within 15-20 minutes, where we shall provide a feathered quill, a ring pillow, and shall also present the stamped marriage certificate in the highest quality envelope;

►Following the marriage ceremony, we shall file a copy of the marriage certificate to the Marriage Registry.​

The Basic Programme of the Wedding Ceremony

Ms Pauline Wong (Principal) shall upon your request provide you with a customized program suited to your needs.

  1. Prior to the ceremony, the civil celebrant shall have you and your partner make and sign a declaration in front him/her;

  2. Once the ceremony begins, the civil celebrant shall instruct you and your partner to make the statement of willingness to marry;

  3. You and your partner shall exchange rings; the groom shall lift the bride’s veil, and you and your partner shall share your first kiss as husband and wife;

  4. You and your partner as newly-weds, along with the two witnesses and the civil celebrant, shall sign the marriage certificate, completing the ceremony.
